The Canadian Airborne Forces Association Annual General Meeting took place 3-5 May 2019 at the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC) CFB Trenton, Ontario.

Outgoing President, MGen (Retd) Walter Holmes

As in past years, the support and cooperation received from CAAWC was outstanding. Rick Hatton was elected CAFA President, assuming the reins from Walter Holmes. Walter has worked tirelessly during his five years as CAFA President to promote CAFA and has created the conditions for it to continue as a vibrant, well-run and relevant organization. He will remain as a member of the Board of Directors. In recognition of the 75th Anniversary of the Allied D-Day landings at Normandy, Bernd Horn provided an excellent presentation on the contribution of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.

Roger Chabot updated us on his very successful Brothers-in-Arms YouTube series, displayed some of his war art and was presented a cheque for $500 from CAFA to help support his excellent work. At the memorial service on Sunday morning we especially recognized the sacrifices of 1 Can Para.
