Paratroopers Reunion – 2018
Paratroopers Reunion – 2018

The Airborne Social Club (Edmonton) will be hosting the 50th Anniversary Reunion since the formation of Canadian Airborne Regiment during June 8-10, 2018.  The Reunion will follow the Annual D-Day Ceremony at the Airborne Monument, to be held June 5th-7th at Siffleur Falls, Alberta.

The Canadian Airborne Regiment was removed from the order of battle in 1995 and since then we have always stayed focused on the positive contributions the Regiment made during its active years, especially while it was garrisoned in Edmonton, from 1968 to 1977. The Regiment always enjoyed a special relationship with the city of Edmonton therefore, it would be befitting to once again relive and highlight those early years and at the same time honour one of Canada’s finest Regiments.  It was here that the Regiment was the proud recipient of the Freedom of the City honours in 1976.

Members of the Airborne Social Club (Edmonton) are hard at work to make this event an unforgettable reunion.  As the theme indicates the emphasis will be to celebrate the 50 years that have passed since the formation of the Regiment and Canada’s Airborne Legacy since 1942.  With that the organizing committee and members of The Edmonton Airborne Social Club extend an Airborne Brotherhood welcome for all to attend REUNION 2018.

This reunion is open to all former members of the Canadian Airborne Regiment, current and former members of Regular and Reserve Force Parachute units, former members of the Canadian Airborne Centre, Canadian Forces Parachute Maintenance Depot, 1 Canadian Parachute Association, Allied Paratroopers, as well as all Search and Rescue and Para Rescue Units.  This reunion is open to “all paratroopers”, whether they have served in an active parachute role or not. In addition to the members themselves, a grateful welcome is extended to all Honorary Club members, spouses and partners of members – present and past.

Early reunion registration fees, prior to May 1st 2018 is set at $125.00 per person and $150.00 per person after May 1st, 2018.

Registered paratroopers will receive, as part of their registration a serialized commemorative airborne coin. This coin will be restricted to REGISTERED paratroopers only. If quantities exist after the registration process is completed, the coin may be available for sale on a first come basis until quantities are exhausted.

Registration to follow. Question. My wife will be in the area during reunion but not available for all events. She may be available for dinner and dance. Do I have to pay full registration fee or can a ticket be bought for that event?

    Thank You

We did not receive any information on who will be attending the reunion. Is there a list I can look up?
