On Tuesday 25 February, in Gatineau QC, Marlene Schmidle and André Bilodeau were each presented the King Charles III Coronation Medal. Some family members and friends were in attendance. The medals were presented by Rick Hatton, President of the Canadian Airborne Forces Association (CAFA) and Dan Clarke, ex-President of the Airborne Regiment Association of Canada (ARAC) and a current member of CAFA Board of Directors. Marlene and André were recognised for their long and dedicated commitment as key Executive members of ARAC and for their tireless and detailed work in the amalgamation with CAFA.
Marlene is the spouse of Joe Drouin (RIP), a man who was well-known and popular throughout the Canadian Airborne family and operated the Airborne kitshop (Joe Drouin Enterprises).
